Newsletter 25 - Earth Science Week Special
24 Sep 2020
SPECIAL EDITION in preparation for
INTERNATIONAL EARTH SCIENCE WEEK
International Earth Science Week
will be celebrated from October 11-17. Now is the time to plan and prepare how your students could enjoy, explore, and learn about geoscience during this week.
You might promote this year's theme -
"Earth Materials in Our Lives"
- by preparing activities that help your students explore Earth science in the classroom or at home. You could start with the exciting classroom activities featured on the Earth Science Week website:
https://www.earthsciweek.org/
.
You will find some great ideas in reports on successful past events and recommendations for other ways to get involved.
You might also want to consider some of the following educational resources that have been developed for our Geoscience Pathways Project, by local SA Science Teachers and others, specifically designed to meet the needs of the SACE and the Australian Science Curriculum.
