Overview
Traditionally, the middle years have been when schools first expose students to the Geosciences, (if at all). Often, this introduction is presented as simply learning to identify and classify a few common rocks and minerals. The examples of fieldwork, excursions, laboratory and other activities on these pages demonstrate ways of better engaging students and fostering their ongoing interest.
