We deliver lessons by teleconferencing and the " Virtual Classroom" which uses centra via your computer and a headset. Course books, texts, mineral and rock kits, DVD are delivered to your door. Your enrolment will allow you access to a supporting web site where you can do online quizzes, (similar to the exam) talk to other students in 'Rock Chat', and take part in online discussion forums with experts.
Fieldwork is offered during term 3 week 2 and participation is a requirement of SSABSA. Student are supported with the presentation of their field work by a "Virtual Field Trip CD" . During this week students come into college and each day are taken on a bus to visit local industry and geological sites around Adelaide. Students spend one of the days in the Geology lab where they take part in a mapping workshop, listen to a presentation from a geologist from SACOME.
